Richmond Park 15 mile paced run

We had a good turn-out for the paced run on Sunday 4th March. Bernie, Fintan, Dave, Audrey, Karen, Lauren, Rob and Haydn all braved Richmond Park for a paced training run, even though the weather forecast was pretty grim. Luckily the rain held off until we'd virtually all finished but it was quite windy towards the end of the last lap and that nasty little hill at the finish hadn't been flattened since the last time I'd done the event! Audrey ran the furthest she'd ever run before and Karen knocked 13 minutes of her time in 2004! Fintan upset everyone by declaring that his GPS showed that it was only 14.4 miles not the advertised 15 miles!

Social run

Social run - 10th February 2007There were 12 CPT members, including Carl, out for the muddy and slippery social run on Saturday 10th February. There were a few short cuts for the ladies who were happy to do a slightly shorter route and some icey streams to paddle in along the way! After a two hour run, we gathered in the car park for a winter picnic, home made soup, home baked strudel, birthday cake, tea cakes, tea and mulled wine! We've just got to get the mud out from under our toenails now!

Triathlon training camp

Some of the CPT coaches, John Sullivan, Jon Horsman and Phil Taylor, will be coaching at a training weekend set in a quiet location offering excellent cycling routes, running on/off road and enough swimming opportunity to make your skin wrinkle and toes curl!

You will not find better value anywhere, £89 for accommodation, all coaching and seminars, use of facilities and entertainment in the evening.

The weekend is aimed at all abilities so get your place reserved before they all go. This should be especially beneficial to those who have just joined the club and are new to triathlon.
