We would also like to encourage members to pay the Annual training fee, as this offers extremely good value, even if you are only planning to attend one session a week. The annual training fee needs to be paid separately from the membership subscription. Details of how to pay can be found on the Annual training fee page.

Dame Kelly Holmes was on the start line for the Sprint distance but doesn't seem to have a finishing time. Perhaps she's still out there?!

Ron reports, it was good to see some of our multi-talented athletes competing at the Kent County Cross Country Championships. Cross country is good winter training for triathlon as testified by the Brownlee Brothers.
Well done to Joseph Georgiadis 14th U13 boys (3.1k - 12:53), Tammy Falshaw U15 girls (3.75k - 17:16) and Alex Yee 1st U17 male (5.9k - 20:45).
If you fancy a chance to represent your Borough in the London Mini Marathon in look out for the Borough Trials which will be taking place shortly.
The London Region has announced the events for the 2014 Junior Series. The series comprises eight nominated events this year. Any athlete may enter the events however to participate in the Series you must be a member of a London club, reside in or go to school in a London Borough.
We encourage all CPT juniors to enter as many of these events as possible. By entering a minimum of three races (two group A and one group B, see London website for more details) you can see how you rank against other triathletes in your age group within London. Go on give it a go! We are very proud of the previous achievements of all CPT members in the London Series and hope this will continue in 2014 making sure CPT juniors are on the London map!
It is the responsibility of the athlete to enter their races through the relevant entry process for each race. Race organisers do not reserve places for the series, so once a race is full or deadline for entries is reached the athlete will not be able to participate at that event.
Welcome to our first new members of the year, Matthew Maginn, Max Montgomery and Alan Klejn.
